Good basic physiology text. Requires some background in biology and biochemistry.

Very useful for a deeper understanding of how a horse responds to exercise.

Not many other texts on the subject, this one more complete than the others.

This book is awesome- it would be difficult to follow if you don’t know the basics in Biology however some of it could be understood without. This book will forever change the way I approach conditioning my horse and also gave me a lot of respect for the demand we ask when we perform.
