I had been searching for a good MRI reference book for quite some time. This book is the most comprehensive guide for MRIs in cats and dogs to date. A bulk of the book focuses on MRI of brain and spinal cord (which is exactly what I wanted), however there are also chapters on MRI of non-neurological structures the head/neck, thorax, abdomen and musculoskeletal system. There is also a nice review of how MRI works in the beginning of the book. The book is nicely organized into categories of congenital/developmental abnormalities and then various disease processes. Dr. Mai amazingly fits everything in here!

If you are a veterinary radiologist or neurologist, or a resident, and you do not yet have this book, your library is now effectively incomplete. This is currently the most comprehensive resource we have to date on this subject and it has been long overdue. My only complaints are that this was not yet written when I was a resident, and my copy did not arrive signed.
