Description

Animal physiology is the scientific study of how the bodies of animals function. How does an animal breathe, develop, eat and digest, reproduce, control its activities? The field encompasses the molecular, cellular, tissue and organ systems of animals. Current Research in Animal Physiology looks at an eclectic selection of studies in animal physiology, including how animals adapt to their physical environments, how human interaction can affect animal functioning, and much more. Research group of this study has broad interests in neural, visual, muscular, cardiovascular and reproductive physiology. The authors emphasize an integrative approach to physiological questions, incorporating molecular, cellular and whole animal analyses where appropriate. Common themes in  research include the physiological impact of environmental stress and the evolution of physiology. 210 p.
