This text provides a good review of the many classes of viruses which afflict man and animals. It covers the research literature up to 2018 with a few references to 2019 publications. The illustrations are excellent.

This book is an exceptionally good summary of most of the current viral challenges. Each chapter provides a great summary of the current knoowledge of a multiplicity of significant viruses. It is well written and comprehensive and worth having to be up to date.
