As an animal keeper, and former giant panda keeper, I loved this book. My supervisor had this book sitting on his desk and we’d all read it so I got a copy for myself. It’s definitely not a light read if you’re a panda enthusiast looking for quick, fun facts, but it is very informative. It’s broken into different sections based on research; talking about the history of giant panda conservation and how it began, as well as the biology and physiology of pandas. If you’re a keeper or a veterinarian in the zoo field it is definitely worth the read if this is a field you’d like to peruse. Great pictures of anatomical structures included.
