This book is logically organized for ease of use, with each species covered in detail in its own chapter. In addition to descriptions of clinical signs, laboratory diagnostics, gross pathology, histopathology, differential diagnoses, and colony management, the book also incorporates valuable information on an array of zoonotic diseases. This is an authoritative source of up-to-date information on congenital abnormalities, spontaneous and infectious diseases, degenerative conditions, and incidental findings in many common small mammal pets. The emphasis throughout is on common disease conditions in an array of small mammal species, including ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, and other small rodents.
